And today, we begin the annual Diamond Lil "Happy Giblet Turkey Farm" story arc, which runs through Thanksgiving Day:

Half Full:  Definitely not the right way to go about it.
 

Peanuts:  From 1972: Woodstock unsuccessfully attempts to emulate a hummingbird.

Loose Parts:  Wait until they try to blow out the candles.

Mutts:  And here is the other avian "Shelter Stories" strip from last year.

Mutts:  Two bird-oriented entries, today and tomorrow, from Patrick McDonnell's annual week of "Shelter Stories" strips.

Non Sequitur:  So now we know that the chicken was the subject of an internal conflict.

WuMo:  Another case of being unclear on the concept.
I'm going to take a break from the Thanksgiving toons for a week, then one week from today I'll start the annual Diamond Lil "turkey farm" story arc as a second toon, and for the week leading up to Thanksgiving that arc will be paired with another Thanksgiving toon.  (Yeah, I know ... lots of turkey comics, but this is the month for it, after all ...)

Dogs Of C-Kennel:  Wheeler is as easily addicted to video games as people, apparently.
