If you have found a wild native bird, please go to our Wild Animals in Distress page and scroll to the bottom for a list of wild bird resources throughout California. Mickaboo's rescue and rehab work is limited to companion birds, and we are not licensed to work with wild animals. We do accept and care for sick or injured wild parrots - fill in our contact us form below (and also leave a voicemail if you wish) and someone will call you back as soon as we can. 

If you lost or found a pet bird, please go to our Lost and Found Page, which provides a separate email address to contact us and tells you what information we will need you to provide us so we can help you.

  • Material (stainless steel, powder-coated, galvanized, other, unsure)
  • Size of living area (width x length x height, in inches)
  • Bar spacing (center to center, in inches)
  • Condition (new, good, older, some rust, etc.)
  • Do all the doors and latches work? Are any parts missing or broken?
  • Any other information you think may be helpful.
  • Please attach one photograph. (Additional photographs may be requested later.)
