Another variation on the old "pirate with parrot on shoulder" theme crosses into a lament usually heard by stand-up comics, from Strange Brew of June 10, 2014:

Bizarro from June 6, 2013 gives us a joke that requires at least a few seconds of thought. Once you get the reference, though, it's a very funny panel.
Cheezburger from September 15, 2013 deals with that famous candy commercial, yet again:
Vince the budgie tries to use human technology to clean his cage, with predictably disastrous results, in this final installment.
I have two more of Scott's black-and-white "Noodles" in which he adapts the Vince drawing to an outdoors bird. I'll post those sometime in the future.
