Of the six women cartoonists who rotate on the page where Six Chix appears in the newspaper, Margaret Shulock has bird toons most often ... the others, not so much (and I have never seen anything even close to a bird-themed strip from either Anne Gibbons or Benita Epstein). Today, the only strip in my archives from Stephanie Piro, which I have been holding off on posting until we started seeing snow in those areas of the country that get same. From January 26, 2013.

I wanted to start the New Year with the very first Calvin and Hobbes bird-related toon, but was chagrined to find that I already posted the first two in the course of 2015. (This is the result of not having been able to properly calculate the original publication dates, which I am now able to do, having located my bound set of The Complete Calvin and Hobbes.)
