I`m one of 17 birds rescued from a rough situation in January of 2025. My mom was elderly and ill. It had become too difficult for her to care for all of us properly. When mom went to the hospital, mom`s human daughter called Mickaboo for help.

My name is Captain Kirk and I`m a yellow-crowned amazon estimated to be about 9 years old. When I was put in a carrier by Mickaboo volunteers, I was curious and went to the front of my carrier to watch the new people. I was quiet on the car ride but made some cute clucking noises when we arrived at my foster home. I was also really friendly and let the Mickaboo volunteer give me head scritches. My mom`s greatest wish was that I find a home where I was well-cared for. Could that be with you? Stay tuned to hear more about me!
