Hi, I just came into Mickaboo recently (Nov 2023) after my owner wanted to put me to sleep. I`m 27 and a little plucked and slow, but there`s nothing really wrong with me, I`m just a senior pet who needs some flat perches and lots of love. I`m so glad Mickaboo took me in so I can live out my senior years in comfort! Could you give an old man a safe, healthy home with lots of love? Ask for Little Man! I have some years left in me still if you don`t mind my little old man shuffle.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
