Hi there, I`m Poppy, a gorgeous lilac-crowned amazon estimated to be about 20 years of age. My mom took me in about 18 years ago after I was found flying around the neighborhood. Now my mom is moving to assisted living and can`t take me with her so she surrendered me to Mickaboo. I am used to flying around the house so you will need to take extra precautions to keep me safe. I`m used to going in my cage at dinner time when my mom feeds me and then staying in my cage overnight. I used to ride around on my mom`s shoulder and jabber. She would say "What?" since she couldn`t understand my bird babbling and I learned to say "What?" back. I used to follow my mom around the house and want a bite of what she was eating or a drink out of her glass. I do some sounds such as a wolf whistle, giggle, cough, and a dog`s bark. I lived with a cockatiel so I also make cockatiel sounds. My foster mom calls me "Precious Poppy" and is working on converting me to a pellet-based diet because it is healthier for me.
