Coco

I`m Coco, an 18 year old Sun Conure. I was surrendered to Mickaboo when my dad got sick, so now I need to find a new forever home. It took some time for me to warm up to my foster family, but now I LOVE my foster mom. I ask for scritches whenever I`m on her shoulder and now that I`ve grown back in my flight feathers, I fly after her whenever she leaves the room!

I`m a great eater, and I love trying new foods! I eat Harrison`s pellets, sprouted grains, fruits and veggies, and I make very happy noises when you give me one of my favorites. I`m also really good at occupying myself. I love foraging and shredding toys and since I`m very food motivated, I learn very quickly! Every morning I step right onto the scale to be weighed.

I love taking baths, and I love to chatter and beep. The one word I can say sounds a lot like `potato,` and it means I like you! I`m a sun conure, so that means I can be really loud. I`m not yelling all the time or anything, but if I see something scary like a hawk or a stranger, or if you`re a bit too slow delivering my food.

I don`t like spray bottles or cloths and I get mad at people other than my foster mom, but I`m working on it! In the morning I get treats from other members of the household and I`ve started to look forward to that time every day!

Even thought it takes me some time to warm up to people, I don`t mind the other birds in the house!

I&bt;d do best in a home with an older person who is willing to be patient with me. I need time to get used to a new place before I`m fully comfortable. But if you`re willing to put in the time, I`ll be your best friend!
