Hi! I'm PeeWee and I'm nearly a year old. People think I'm a male because I love whistling, especially to my foster mom, but I'm still too young to know for sure yet. I'm very friendly and I love shoulder-surfing or just sitting with my foster mom whenever I can.


My clutch-mate, Dusty, and I were startled and escaped a while ago. Some kind people found me and brought me back home. I spent a few days with my avian vet who deemed me healthy and maybe even a bit of a miracle to have survived out there on my own. I miss having a buddy to hang out with and I don't really play too much on my own. So, if you have a youngish cockatiel that you think would like me, please let us know.
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
