Tati is scared of hands but he tolerates hands in and near his cage. He enjoys being out of his cage and returning of his own free will. If necessary, he can be toweled and returned sooner than he wishes.
He loves listening to and watching Cockatiel Companion on YouTube, and he chats along with them. He likes being in the sun and getting a shower from a spray bottle. After that, he spends a lot of time grooming himself. He loves attention, being talked to, being whistled to, and being near his human. He is very sweet. He typically goes to bed when the sun goes down. His cage is covered around 9pm, and he sleeps until 7am. Tati loves looking in the mirror. He also likes flying and perching high up, but he`s gotten less active in his older age.

In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
