Sol

Hi everyone, I`m Sol. I`m a young bird with some special needs and a desire to find my forever home. I can`t fly (I`ll splat onto the floor if you give me a chance), and I`m a wobbly bird. My owner turned me over to Mickaboo to get help from a vet. That vet managed to save my life, and now I`m a happy little guy who really needs a friend as I get very anxious if I do not have another tiel close by in my cage.

I have finally managed to woo my fosters tiel Moses into letting me groom him, it only took me a year to convince him. But could easily be buddies with another tiel, especially one with special needs. That said, if someone was very interested in adopting me and Moses (who is one of the LOUDEST tiels ever, says `whatcha doin` and chirps / whistles a lot, steps up but does not like to be pet) my foster person said Moses can go with me to my new home.

I try to play with toys but i need them close to the perch or on the side of the cage so I dont lose my balance. I can step up but it is easier if you scoop me. I do like to hang out on the couch with my foster buddy, and am getting used to head skritches. I eat zupreem fruity pellets really well but am still unsure about the green things - i sorta think they are chew toys and dont realize I should eat them.

In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
