Hi, I`m Bitsy, a turquoise and yellow girl budgie who came to Mickaboo from an aviary rescue in March 2022. Our entire flock went immediately to the vet due to some beak & cere issues. I`m missing some tail feathers so have difficulty managing my landings and land with a plop. I need daily misting to help clean out my nose and sinuses and I LOVE getting misted!

Although my foster mom offers us veggies every day, I haven`t started eating them. Sometimes she covers our Nutri-An cakes with lettuce, but I`m smart enough to move it off so I can eat the good stuff! I also get pellets and a bit of seed, and millet occasionally as a treat. I definitely LOVE my food.

I`m a spunky girl and would be so happy to have a loving forever home. Maybe with you?

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
