Hi, I`m Snowbird. I came to Mickaboo in March 2021 due to family changes. I love my basic swing more than anything. It makes me so happy! I don`t like the swings that have color balls and bells and things, just my plain swing. I was found outdoors by my owner in Dec 2020 and seen by the vet for breathing issues. I got a lot better after being on antibiotics for 10 days (though I was very upset about the medication process of course). I had another coughing, clicking, sneezing bout in March and another 10 day round antibiotics. <\p>
UPDATE: Back from seeing Mickaboo`s vet and my sinus infection is all gone! I`m ready for a new forever home. Check out my new picture - am I a cute budgie, or what??? <\p>
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
