I used to live with the SF flock cherryheads until I got sick and injured. Mickaboo took me in, and their avian veterinarian made me better. I`m special needs and do need a lot of well-placed perches. But overall, I think I do pretty well.
I have been learning clicker training at my foster home, eating good foods, and playing with toys. I have had lots of bird friends, but my very best friend, Monty, has passed away. I will miss him so much. He was my first Mickaboo buddy, and we were super "tight."
Here is my dear Monty and his story.
I was so lonely without my Monty. So the Telegraph Hill team picked out another disabled bird from our flock, one who also did not have a current friend -- Clay. Poor Clay once had a friend too, Eddy. But Eddy also died, like Monty. So here we are, two little widowed birds who have found love again. Clay is so sweet, and he and I hit it off right away!
I believe that Monty is looking down on Clay and me, with his toes crossed that it will work out.
UPDATE: Well, this was a match made in heaven, and we`re now a pair. Clay is copying the darling way that I like to swing and hang from my beak on the cage bars.
