The Mutts "new bird" story line ends as it began ... with Mooch not getting it.

The new arrival in Mutts hatches and Mooch remains clueless.

Mutts:  Today through next Thursday, a series of strips on a new chick being brough into the world.

Rhymes With Orange:  Yeah, I wonder why? ... LOL

The second rhinocerous-themed Carpe Diem cartoon.  I do not know if the cartoonist intended them to be sequential, or if there is some hidden meaning when you juxtapose them, but they did appear in the newspaper on subsequent days last year.

Carpe Diem:  I'm going to do two in row of these (today and tomorrow) simply because the cartoonist also did them two days in a row last year, and they are related.

Birdbrains:  The San Diego Chicken would disagree.
